Santa Rosa Plateau

After my dad finished making the Leprechaun trap we took the kids for an adventure up to the Santa Rosa Plateau. When we first started the hike saw tons of black furry caterpillars crossing the path. It seemed where ever we looked we saw them. Davin started collecting them in a water bottle. Slater was putting them in a tic tac box. After walking and exploring for a while we had a little picnic. We continued on our adventure to find an interesting cactus, a coyote and 2 garter snakes. The kids even found and old Oak tree that they played on for a little while. The hike ended with Davin bringing home new creatures. I told him whatever he did he was not allowed to lose any caterpillars in the car.
